Meet Our Team

 

Roseanne Kirk

More than a producer, Ms. Kirk has united people of all ages and ethnicities using the power of music. From Broadway to the stages of Europe, Roseanne Kirk has conceived, written, and produced nearly 35 productions in the past 22 years since founding The Harlem Gospel Singers with Queen Esther Marrow and the late Michael Brenner.

 

In the early stages of her career, Ms. Kirk was a well known talent agent in New York City representing many respected artists including: Savion Glover, Abby Lincoln, Craig Schulman, Ruth Brown, Broadway Director Robert Kalfin, Jasmine Guy, and Queen Esther Marrow.

 

Dedicated to sharing her knowledge, Ms. Kirk has given seminars and workshops as Vassar, Wagner College, Berkley College, Cincinnati Conservatory Of Music, the Julliard School, and the American Academy Of Dramatic Arts. Ms. Kirk also worked in public relations with Ade Kahn. She has written extensively for American Theatre Magazine, Playbill, and many others. Some of her own projects include Walk Tall (2001), God Cares (2003), Rock My Soul (2005) NY to Paris (1998), In Mahalia’s Light (2006), Brand New Day (2008/2009) and Happiness and That Spirit.

 

Ms. Kirk also produced gospel programming for The Gospel Music Channel and for PBS. Currently she is working as a consultant on the development of a new musical Closer To Heaven.

 

Jennifer Allen

Jennifer is a writer and director originally from Richmond Virginia. She is passionate about expanding our ideas of how theatre is created and empowering the performer’s voice in the creation process. During her time at NYU, she directed and devised five productions through Playwrights Horizons Theatre School. After graduating in 2019 she has continued directing, writing, and devising new work. Jennifer is interested in theatre that challenges our ideas of the world we live in. She is always searching to go deeper into what unites us.
